New Directions in Drawing with Roxanne Faber Savage – Fridays 10am-1pm
This class is an exploration in ways to expand your drawing practice!
Drawing can be primal, direct and immediate: but it can also be a meditation activity; a way to slow down and observe, look and render.
We will work in traditional and non-traditional ways; work fast and slow- and develop new processes and techniques to move your work forward. Each drawing session will build on the previous class. Activities include: drawing contour and moodgee:* kinesthetic mark making on small and large papers; creating “combines” with stencils and mixed media; draw from life using organic and manmade objects, and develop a drawing project that depicts a clear sequence of ideas in color and line. Roxanne will present art historical source materials, present demonstrations, meet one on one with artists and host a final crit on the last date of class.
All levels welcome.
